MERV 11 — Pet & Allergy Protection Step up to MERV 11 if you have pets, kids, or light allergy sufferers at home. This filter catches pet dander, mold spores, and finer dust particles that a MERV 8 lets through. Comparable to FPR 7 and MPR 1000–1200.
MERV 13 — Superior Air Quality The MERV 13 is our highest-rated option, filtering out bacteria, smoke particles, and ultrafine allergens. Ideal for allergy and asthma sufferers or anyone who wants the cleanest air possible. Comparable to FPR 10 and MPR 1500–1900.
How Often Should You Replace It? A 1-inch filter typically needs replacing every 1 to 3 months depending on your MERV level and household conditions. If you have pets or allergies, check it monthly to stay on schedule.

How To Find Your Air Filter Size
Check the label on your current filter or use a tape measure to determine the length, width, and thickness. Just make sure you know the difference between nominal and actual size.

📏 Nominal Size
The rounded size printed on the filter label. This is what you use when ordering — it's not the true physical size of the filter.
📐 Actual Size
The true physical size of the filter, usually printed in smaller font below the nominal size. Always slightly smaller than nominal.
📏 Measuring
Measure your current filter or the slot opening. Round up to the nearest whole inch to get the nominal size for ordering.
Pro Tip: Always order by nominal size, not actual size. For example if your filter measures 15.5" x 24.5" x 0.75", order the 16x25x1.
